im buying a new amp for my electric guitar and I need help chosing the right one. What should I get?
Okay so Ive been playing guitar for almost 10 years but Im not very good at recognizing the perfect amp for myself so here are some notes to help you guys:

I mostly use it for playing in my band and playing around with in the basement. (no large gigs)

We play metal core bands like: August burns red, as I lay dying, atreyu, all that remains, a day to remember, and the newer modern metal bands.

My price range is at maximum around $500 so anywhere between like $200-$550.

I play lead guitar so I need a powerful amp that has a powerful and high quality distortion noise and also has a warm and crisp clean setting

I need an amp that has some good effects (I like a versatile amp that has many different tones, but I mean good quality tones, not crappy ones)

I need an amp that has great tone and amazing distortion but I hate that buzzing noise you get from many of the amps overdrive. I need a powerful yet edgy distortion that is still clean and crisp (so basically no fuzzy distortion where half the notes i play wont even be heard like the way alot of amps are)

And last thing, I dont care if its a solid state, tube, or hybrid amp. But I want a combo amp. I dont want to buy any other acsessories for my amp.. So no amp heads or stacks, and NO PEDALS!

Am I Truly sad or just selfish?
I have constantlyly been depressed for about 2 years now….im just always so sad. I miss evrything that my life used to be, i hate how everything in my life has changed. everything in my life was more or less grate until i entered secondry school…i was looking forward to it so much and sure it is good in some ways but my life has gone more or less down hill sense then. Everything has changed, my friend, like im still friends with them but they have just changed too much, there is so much pressure to kiss guys and sexual stuff and they are all doin all that and we are all only 14(well im almost 14, in less han a month) i miss bein a kid so much i was so happy and i didnt worry so much. Then the start of 2009 was ok until Mchael Jackson died…i wasnt really a fan before he died,(like i liked his music but i didnt no much about him) and i used to sorta believe all that child molesting thing, like i wasnt sure…but when he died and the TV had all these programs i realised what a loving,kind, talented man he was….it hurt me so much, i feel so awful for nit realising how amazing he was while he was alive. Like I love animals,nature and i wana make a difference in this world, i wana help thoses in need, he was all of that…if i had known while he was alive i would have done everything i could to have met him. He is my hero my idol, words cant explain how much i love him and how sorry I am about believen the press….he has inspired me so much changed my life and made me see life differently. Nobody can really understand how i feel though…only me and mabe God. My brother is in love with his wife and they have an adorable baby boy. The problem is…she has cheated in him several times and we have no idea who the "other man" is. As a Viking’s fan, I will sadly admit it was Brett Favre. I believe it was him because Brett always does things like that. Throwing the ball in very tight spaces. But knowing that it was only a few seconds left, seeing that he wouldn’t have got a first down anyway, and being the veteran he is, he shouldn’t have thrown it.

Peyton Manning’s throw was just a case of good coverage. The pass was there, Hartley just covered it great. He actually completed a pass on that route earlier either in that drive, or the drive right before it.

Well Favre played great in the playoffs, he killed Dallas with 4 TDs. In the game against the Saints he played pretty good until the Saints started going for his legs and the refs messed up and didn’t call roughing the passer. In case YOU MISSED IT, NFL VP confirmed that the refs blew the call: one of the plays where they missed a call was in the red zone and cost the Vikings a touchdown and very likely the win. It was a goof by refs which led to a favre interception. Lets not forget that Adrian Peterson had 3 fumbles, one of which was in the red zone.

Peyton Manning got a lot of time after each snap to throw passes. The saints were trying to blitz him through most of the game but eventually gave up because they realized that the colts’ offensive line is superior and you CANNOT GET TO MANNING. That’s why he gets so much time and looks brilliant. Manning had the best WR, TE and offensive line in the game but he easily got outplayed. To answer your question, Manning played FAR WORSE.

The short answer is YES. The conditioned air and the pressurization air is the same air.

The air, under high pressure, is conditioned, and then enters the cabin as cooling/heating/pressurization air.

On every jet that I have ever flown, some approximations of the following happens:

1) Some air is stolen from some stage(s) of the engines. Often there are two stages used, one for low pressure air (high power settings when there is plenty of air at the LP end of things), and another for high pressure air (low power settings when there isn’t much air, and we need all we can get).

2) The air passes through a pre-cooler. It is quite hot, I seem to remember around 500C when it comes off the engines. BTW, this is air before it enters the hot section, it is just hot because it has been compressed in a very serious way.

3) The air passes through a mass air flow control valve to keep the mass of air entering the cabin relatively constant.

4) The air enters the air cycle machine (ACM). This is an expansion turbine that cools the air. For a detailed explanation of this process, look on wiki.

5) The environmental system operates to keep the cabin in the correct temperature range by bypassing the ACM with some small amount of air, and mixing it back in with the cold air in the mixing chamber.

6) In some airplanes, trim air (more hot air that is destined for a particular zone in the aircraft) is added downstream.

7) All of this air is now pressurizing the cabin. There is no other air! There might be, in some airplanes, electric heaters is selected spots, but usually not. The hot, cold, and pressurization air is all the same thing.

On modern airplanes, there is some recirculation of air to conserve fuel. This is done by recirculation fans that gather a small amount (I think it is 20%, but don’t quote me) of "used" air from under the deck, and push it back into the mix manifold.

9) The pressure in the cabin is controlled by the pressurization controller(s), and they do their magic by modulating the outflow valve. In other words, try to keep the airflow in somewhat constant, and control the rate of outflow.

BTW, you can probably see the outflow valve on B737s and B757s from the gate area. It is around and below the left aft entry door.

The two systems are seemingly connected. However, they are seperate. The pressurization system does just that. Pressurizes the cabin air by squeezing in outside air. A/C system simply conditions that air. It will condition the air, regardless of pressure. The weight penalty cannot be overcome with current technology.

Yes and no.

The source of the pressurized air is the engine bleed air. This is very hot (from compression) so it goes through an air conditioning system to ensure it is the right temperature for the cabin.

The pressurization system actually controls how much air is escaping from the aircraft, by the use of outflow valves. So the air conditioning and pressurization ’systems’ are separate, but the pressurized air for both comes from the same source…
